The "Yamazaki 18-year-old" single malt whiskey was first launched in Europe and the United States in 2004, which amazed European and American wine tasting experts. It uses sherry oak barrels that have aged the highest-grade Oloroso Spanish sherry to age the original malt whiskey. After the bartender skillfully blends it, it is placed again in sherry barrels for a second post-ripening process. The rich and charming mellow aroma is naturally very charming. Suntory bartenders went to Spain to select this luscious wine, which is different from the American white oak that usually replaces Spanish native Tochi wood, or the barrels that have been aged with lower-grade sherry.
